To be able to get the keyword data from Google AdWords clicks, we only need to turn on ValueTrack Parameters, and enable auto-tagging (there is nothing that you need to do in Call Tracking Portal for this).


To turn on ValueTrack Parameters, and to enable Auto-tagging (so that we can get the keyword data for Adwords).


To do this, follow these steps:


1. Log into Google AdWords

2. Click on 'Settings' in the second column.

3. Then click the 'Account Settings' tab

4. Click the 'Tracking' option and add a Tracking Template in the 'Tracking template' field. Here is one that you can use (If you don't have one):


{lpurl}?keyword={keyword}&device={device}&matchtype={matchtype}&creative={creative}&placement={placement}

(You can simply just copy and paste the above code as-is straight in)


5. Set Auto-tagging to 'Yes'.


And that's it!


With all future calls from Google Adwords, you'll now be able to see the keyword data in the ReportsĀ section in the Call Tracking Portal.
