This handy little guide will show you how you can track goals in Analytics.

Goal tracking in Analytics from Call Dynamics is very simple to set up.  It's a two-part process, and you first need to ensure you have enabled 'Google Event Integration' in your Call Dynamics pool configuration like this:

Part 1 - Configure Call Dynamics

Step 1: Login to Call Dynamics, and browse to the Pool you wish to track in Analytics. 

Step 2: Enable "Google Event Integration" and "Google Analytics Offline Callers" and insert your UA-... tracking ID.

Press save, and that's all you need to do in Call Dynamics.

Part 2 - Configure Google Analytics

Step 1: Log into your Google Analytics account and select Admin

Step 2:  A new menu should appear, from this menu select Goals


Step 3: In the first step, set the Goal Type to Custom


Step 4: In step two of the Goal Setup, Set the Goal Description as Phone Call and the Type to Event.


Step 5: In the final step of the Goal Setup, Adjust the Category parameter to 'Equals to', and enter the name of your Campaign from Call Dynamics.

Now all you have to do now is click Save and you're done.

If you already have Events present from Call Dynamics in your Analytics account, you should 'Verify' the Goal in Analytics to ensure the goal is working correctly.

Keep in mind that it can take up to 48 hours for Goal Conversions to show up in Google Analytics. You may also wish to 'Import' the Goal in to Adwords so you can marry the Goal completions with your Adwords data.
